MATT LAUER is trying to pour cold water on our exclusive story in the new issue of The ENQUIRER that he walked out on his wife of 12 years after she furiously accused the Today star of cheating with at least two women.

In comments he made – along with his wife Annette – to People magazine on their website, Lauer claims “I have never moved out. I am not moving out. There is no truth to that.”

David Letterman’s sex scandal has set off a $300 million divorce battle between the talk-show host and his wife, Regina, the National Enquirer is reporting.

The couple, who married in March, are reported fighting over his property and business holdings as well as over custody of their son Harry, 6, according to insiders. The pair lived together for years before their marriage.

“It’s become a real battle,” a Late Show insider told the Enquirer. “Regina is humiliated, and she wants to get even with David for his public admission he cheated on her repeatedly during their 23-year relationship.”
